Who made this site?

This is an unofficial, non-commercial study collection independently written by its maintainers. It is neither Matt Pocock's website nor an official translation, and has no affiliation or endorsement. Public release still requires maintainer review.

Scope of the sources

The source snapshot ends on 2026-10-20. It covers public posts, public article indexes and open-source repositories with checked licences. We supply our explanations, original examples and a few short quotations. Public access alone grants no copying permission.

Public sources support independent notes; paid course material stays outside scope.

Excluded material stays out of pages and downloads. Raw archives and comments are not republished in full; course, cohort and workshop material is excluded. An open-source tool's licence cannot extend to other works it supports.

Four labels and what they mean

Use our original failed-save scenario to understand the labels. Only the English inside an attributed quote block is the named author's wording. Our explanatory examples are not attributed to Matt.

LabelHow to read it
Linked short quotationCheck exact English, author, URL and date
Site translationOur Chinese rendering beside a quotation, not another original statement
Site inferenceFor example, our advice to reproduce a failed save before selecting a check
MIT adaptationFor example, adapted handoff fields with source file, changes and licence

The sample quotation in the figure, “All code is debt.”, comes from Matt Pocock · 2026-05-01.

Could I get some attribution on /grill-me and /teach?

This request illustrates respect for attribution. It grants this site no permission or endorsement. Adding an author's name to AI-generated wording cannot make it their quotation.

Adaptation register and licensing

Site code uses MIT; our written content uses CC BY 4.0, with scope defined in the root LICENSE. Quotations and MIT reuse retain their authors' copyright and are not relicensed under the site's content terms.

The following structures adapt Matt Pocock's skills repository under MIT. Its exact copyright line is Copyright (c) 2026 Matt Pocock.

Source file, relative to repository rootAdaptation and covered pages
skills/productivity/writing-for-agents/SKILL.mdDocument checks: agent-documents, cheat-sheets
skills/productivity/handoff/SKILL.mdHandoff fields: context-and-handoff, cheat-sheets
skills/engineering/code-review/SKILL.mdRequirements and standards axes: review-and-pr, cheat-sheets
skills/engineering/pr/SKILL.mdOverview, evidence and risk: review-and-pr, cheat-sheets
skills/productivity/teach/SKILL.mdLessons, practice and review: writing-to-teach, learning-path, cheat-sheets

The PR source credits Dex Horthy / HumanLayer's upstream work. We retain that credit without taking upstream content or assuming its licence.

Our added examples and explanations are our writing. This register covers both languages, single-page Markdown and language-specific bundles. Exports must retain authorship, source files and full notices. The complete MIT licences for skills and Archify follow at the end of this page.

Known gaps and corrections

Earlier replies have incomplete coverage. Images and videos were not independently checked. Current link availability and API compatibility are not guaranteed. Archived observations do not establish universal conclusions, and these exercises do not demonstrate validated teaching outcomes.

Correct errors in facts, translations, links or copyright with a dated record of the change and supporting evidence. No dedicated contact channel has been supplied. We invent no email address, permission document or relationship with the author.

Exercise: classify a statement

TRY IT

Whose judgement is this?

  • Scenario: a maintainer recommends preserving form input after a failed save.
  • Task: classify it as Matt's quotation, site inference or MIT adaptation. What evidence is still needed?
Suggested approach

It is site advice and should be labelled as inference. Verify that input is retained after failure. Without a source quotation it cannot be attributed to Matt; without adapted source structure it is not an MIT adaptation.

Done means you can separate original wording, translation, judgement and adaptation, and identify sources and permissions for actual reuse. Attribution alone grants no permission; non-commercial status supplies no licence.
